Description

The Wharton Club of Italy is organizing a a two-day Art and Business event to be held on October 6 and 7, 2017 in Milan. This event is dedicated to the intersection of art, culture and business, with a focus on Italy and its cultural institutions.

Each day gravitates around a main event and a number of satellite events:

  • on Friday, October 6th after an informal gathering at a local hotspot, N'Ombra de Vin, we’ll have a private after-hours tour of the Pinacoteca di Brera which hosts one of the most renowned painting collections in Europe (among which "Sposalizio della vergine” (Raffaello), "Cena in Emmaus” (Caravaggio), “Cristo Morto” (Mantegna),or "Il bacio" (Hayez)), followed by a cocktail reception at Palazzo Cusani, a 17th century building and current military post just down the street from Brera.
  • on Saturday, the day starts with a tour of Leonardo of Da Vinci’s famed Last Supper (limited number of tickets available at additional cost). The main event will be in the afternoon: a panel of speakers with presentations on art, the art market, the future vision of cultural institutions in Italy and Europe, as well as industry changes and challenges. The panel will be held at Gallerie d’Italia, one of three private museums showcasing Banca Intesa San Paolo’s collection and art storage.
  • A Gala dinner hosted in the museum’s cloister caps off the day, followed by a “bar crawling” tour of Milan.

The program also offers ample time for participants to enjoy Milan.
