Art as a Voice
Event Information
Description
In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, we are hosting our 5th annual Art as a Voice on April 18. This is an art showcase where survivors and community members share how gender based violence has affected their lives. We welcome poetry, paintings, music, dance, spoken word, and more!
This year, Art as a Voice will be at the Chinatown Community Cultural Center (616 H St. NW, Suite 201, Washington DC), located steps away from the Chinatown/Gallery Place metro station. Doors will open at 6:30pm. Event registration will be available soon. Check out pictures from last year's event!
If you would like to use art to share how gender based violence has affected you or a loved one, please email Bakht Arif at bakht@dvrp.org.
