Event description

Description

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Join DVRP as we recognize the resilience of survivors of sexual assault at our 4th annual Art as a Voice. Survivors, advocates, and community members will share how gender-based violence has affected their lives, families, and communities. Stories will be shared through spoken word, paintings, dance, and music.

If you are interested in submitting a creative piece or performing, please contact Marissa Young, Outreach and Training Coordinator, at marissa@dvrp.org or 202.833.2232. All submissions are due April 21st, 2017.

The Asian/Pacific Islander Domestic Violence Resource Project has been serving the DC metro area for over 20 years. Our mission is to address, prevent, and end domestic violence and sexual assault in A/PI communities, while empowering survivors to rebuild their lives after abuse. If you are not able to make it to Art as a Voice, please consider making a donation through our website: www.dvrp.org.
