Description
Non-profit disc golf tournament to benefit ill, injured and wounded soldiers in the Adaptive Reconditioning Program at Fort Campbell.
The WTB Adaptive Reconditioning Program (ARP) at Fort Campbell recently added disc golf as part of its weekly activity schedule for the soldiers. The program includes various physical activities and adaptive sports that wounded, ill and injured soldiers participate in to support their physical and emotional well-being. In just a few months the sport of disc golf has helped many of the soldiers in their recovery process. ARP contributes to successful recoveries for soldiers by finding their new normal, whether they are transitioning back to active duty or civilian life.
The event will be a one round 18 hole challenge. The tournament players will include ill, injured and wounded soldiers from the Adaptive Reconditioning Program at Fort Campbell along with local wounded veterans as well as being open to the public. There will be Giveaways for CTP's(Closest to the Pin) and a "Ring of Fire" Putting Competition will be played at the end of the round before awards are presented.
