San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Who doesn't want to travel the world? Time, money, family & work obligations may keep many from doing so, but there is a way to experience a bit of the magic right in the Hudson Valley: The Shawangunk Wine Trail's 24th annual "Around the World in 80 miles" event! Its not Bravo's "Around the World in 80 Plates," but our event won't empty your pocketbook and will be infinitely less time consuming. Our wineries invite you to embark on a travel adventure June 14th & 15th from 10 am to 6 pm both days for a tour of 14 different "countries."
On this self-guided tour of the Trail, you'll travel "Around the World" as each winery takes on the international flavor of a different country. Enjoy great Hudson Valley wine served with complimentary food samples representative of the adopted countries. A "Two Day Passport" is affordably priced at just $37.80. All wine taster passports include a souvenir wine glass, plus four different regional wine samples and a complimentary food sample at each winery. Even if you can only visit six countries on Saturday, it is a bargain! If you have the time, make a weekend out of it and take two full days to explore the entire Wine Trail at your leisure. Most people travel on Saturday, so to encourage more visitors on Sunday, a "Sunday Only Passport" is available for $21.60. With June 15th being Father's Day, it's a great gift idea to surprise Dad with a trip "around the world"! Designated Drivers are always encouraged and will receive complimentary food samples and a non-alcoholic beverage for just $10.80. All ticket prices include 8% sales tax (an eventbrite fee is extra).
A limited number of increased priced tickets will be available for sale AT THE DOOR at each winery during the event ($48.60, $32.40 & $16.20). Since planning for food quantities is difficult, we do keep these numbers low.
Ready to travel? At the time of ticket purchase you'll choose your starting winery, but don't wait long because the popular starting points sell out early. You must begin at your starting winery to check-in for the event and receive your passport and souvenir wine glass to use at each of the wineries. Be sure to bring your PDF ticket printout and a valid photo ID with you.
Our goal is for you to have a safe, enjoyable experience. Though transportation is not included in ticket prices, we recommend using a designated driver for your group, if at all possible. Transportation services are listed on our website under the Associate Members tab. These services are asked not to serve alcohol in their vehicles during this event. While we do limit the number and quantities of tastings at each winery to help ensure everyone's safety, we also suggest packing small snacks and water to consume while traveling along the Trail. It is illegal for wineries to serve any visibly intoxicated person. It is also illegal to bring outside alcoholic beverages onto our properties. Any visitor who is Intoxicated or disorderly or who has brought an outside alcoholic beverage onto our properties will not be served, should not expect a refund, and may be asked to leave.
WE'RE SORRY, BUT TICKETS CAN NOT BE REFUNDED OR EXCHANGED FOR ANY REASON.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You must bring your PDF ticket and a valid photo ID to check-in at your starting winery, receive your tasting glass, and begin your tour.
WEATHER POLICY: This event is never canceled and all wineries will be open regardless of weather.
