Join Armenian Film Society on Thursday, December 8 at the James Bridges Theater at UCLA for a private screening of CARNIVORE, followed by a panel discussion with filmmakers.
CARNIVORE is a short film about an escalating game between two boys that sets them on a dangerous path during a family celebration. Q&A with writer/director Michael Aloyan, cinematographer Mko Malkhasyan, editor Yvette M. Amirian, ACE, composer Arman Aloyan, and actors Arman Bagdasaryan, Arman Badikyan, and Ani Vardanyan, moderated by Armenian Film Society Founder and CEO Armen Karaoghlanian.
Michael Aloyan is a filmmaker who was raised in Los Angeles. In high school, he started producing short films with friends, resulting in the short film, SUBHUMAN, which screened in over a dozen film festivals, winning several international awards and acquiring distribution in over 40 countries. In his sophomore year of college, he penned STRING, an original pilot that he sold to 20th Century Fox Television before his 20th birthday. Michael Aloyan is a graduate of the Master of Fine Arts degree in Production (Directing), and has been a finalist for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab, Academy Nicholl Fellowship, Warner Bros. Television Writers Workshop, Disney/ABC Writing Program, ATX Television Festival. THE DIVE, his most recent pilot, was a featured script on The Black List.
