Event description
Learn fundamental actions and movements required to safely balance on your hands and go head over heels for inversions with Aleks Milewicz.

About this Event

Session 1: INVERSIONS - SOLD OUT

Saturday, 21 March, 8:00am - 10:00am

Want to go upside down but not quite confident yet? Then this is the workshop for you!

From your fingers to your toes, you will learn how to engage your body properly and safely when building your inversion practice.

We will explore headstand, (both tripod and supported), forearm stand, and handstand with variations.

With partner work and individual practice, you will begin to deepen your understanding of inversions. Learning to build communication and trust with yourself are the most important aspects of your inversion practice.

Session 2: ARM BALANCES

Saturday, 4 April, 8:00am - 10:00am

Learn the fundamental actions and movements required to balance on your hands with playfulness, courage, and lightness. It takes more than "core strength" to lift your off your feet. It also requires spine, hips, wrists, and shoulder flexibility and stability.

This workshop includes warm up, exploration and awareness of various muscles groups before we lift off into crow and its variations, wild thing, firefly, eight angle pose, flying splits, flying pigeon and hand balance.

ABOUT THE TRAINER:

Aleks was initially drawn to the physical aspect of yoga but she quickly noticed the benefits to both, body and mind. She eventually quit her job in fashion to immerse herself fully in yoga and start sharing that passion with the community.

Aleks immediately fell in love with Lagree Fitness which was the missing link to her yoga practice. An intense, slow, rewarding workout that empowers you from inside out. She believes the Megaformer is a tool to connect with one’s body through dedication, perseverance and hard work on both, physical and mental levels.

She loves to challenge, inspire and motivate others to become the best versions of themselves. Whether on the Megaformer or on the mat, expect her classes to feel relevant, enjoyable and beneficial with good music and vibes leaving her students feeling energised and relaxed.
