Special Needs Training: Inclusion in childcare settings

Research has shown that inclusion, when done well, can be a very positive experience for both young children with special needs and their typically developing peers. Child care providers can play an important role in making inclusive child care successful.

Join us to learn ways to incorporate inclusion best practices into your childcare program.

 

Presenters: Early Childhood Intervention - My Health My Resources of Tarrant County

Arlington DFW Child Care Providers Association

Arlington DFW Child Care Association is comprised of a diverse group of professional licensed and registered child care home providers as well as licensed child care centers directors and staff.

The goals of the Association include:

Education:  to provide quality professional development, to encourage all providers to obtain their director credentials, or CDA certification along with furthering their education by obtaining an associate or bachelor degree in child development or a close related field.

Peer Support: to support providers, share ideas and fellowship with one another.

Community relations: educate parents, guardians and providers of the importance of quality childcare and the benefits of early childhood education and kindergarten readiness.

Community service:  provide community and outreach services.

Business management: provide childcare business owners with best business practices to run substainable high quality businesses 

Legislative: to keep current with minimum standards and adopted rule changes, participate in DFPS child care council meetings regarding child care policies and issues.
