About Chef Omo:

Chef Michael Omo oversees all aspects of the culinary experience at the University of Arizona. His talents and culinary interpretations of “sophisticated dining that is accessible to everyone” have garnered attention to his philosophy that “simplicity is the art of perfection.”

Chef Omo has held Chef and Executive Chef positions at leading hotels - including Peninsula Hotels, Shutters on the Beach, MGM Grand Resort and Casino, and Westin Hotels and Resorts. He is a winner of Evian's annual Healthy Menu Award, and he's been recognized in both Gourmet and Food and Wine magazines.

About the Wine Library:

The University of Arizona Wine Library concept will document and celebrate the richness of the Arizona wine industry and the legacy of its founding father, Gordon Dutt. As a U of A Soil Science professor, Gordon began making experimental wines in the 1970s, at what is now the Campus Agricultural Center. Our goal is to refurbish the Wine Library as an event venue that will serve as a focal point for the promotion of the Arizona wine industry.
