Join Sirena as she continues her 800 mile Arizona Trail Trek from Mexico to Utah on the Arizona National Scenic Trail!
Arizona Trail Association Executive Director Matt Nelson joins the Arizona Trail Trek to lead this extreme rim-to-rim dayhike!
The crown jewel in the Arizona National Scenic Trail system, this extremely strenuous dayhike with Matt Nelson takes you through one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This extreme dayhike follows the Arizona Trail on the South Kaibab Trail as it descends 4500 feet, reaching the Colorado River and Phantom Ranch in 7 steep miles. The 14-mile North Kaibab Trail winds through the steep walls of The Box and then toward the relentless climb to the North Rim, located at an elevation of 8000 feet.
Due to the extreme difficulty of dayhiking rim to rim in the Grand Canyon, this event is for the most experienced marathon-distance hikers and ultrarunners only!
Very Strenuous- 21 miles, with 6000 feet elevation gain.
