Description

Arizona State University’s Energy Policy Innovation Council (EPIC) invites you to participate in the national Power Dialog on energy policy being hosted at universities across the United States. The Power Dialog will engage approximately 10,000 students in face-to-face dialog with state-level regulators and policy experts. The topic? U.S. and state level energy policy in the era of anthropogenic climate change.

Arizona’s Power Dialog event will be hosted on the Tempe campus of Arizona State University and co-sponsored with the University of Arizona. The event will take place on Monday, April 4, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Memorial Union Building at ASU. Students from all state universities in Arizona studying energy and environmental policy are invited to attend and participate in this important discussion. Student attendance is capped at 50; lunch will be provided.

This event is for ASU, UA, and NAU students only. Tickets are free but RSVP is required.

The dialog model is simple: A conversation with state energy policy officials and other energy policy professionals that influence or implement energy policy planning and students from classes across the state who have been studying energy policy in their classes. This is not a lobbying or advocacy event, but rather a way to engage our students in a unique and important learning opportunity.

More detail on the national event can be found at http://www.bard.edu/cep/powerdialog/

We look forward to seeing you at the event! Please feel free to share this information with other faculty and students in your institution who might be interested.
