Description

Titan Lien Services is happy to host our semi-annual Arizona Lien Law Seminar in the Phoenix valley this October. Review the basics and stay current with information about Arizona lien law.

Topics covered will include preliminary notices (aka preliens, prelims, 20-day notices, etc.), liens, waivers, timeframes, and more! Get the expert advice you need to ensure your lien rights are protected, hear how others benefit from lien law, and learn about growing your construction business in the current economy. There will also be a Q & A session following the seminar.

There will be two additional construction topics that will be covered on October 26, 2017.

Aksel Firat, from Surety Place, will discuss bonding requirements, tips for obtaining payment/performance bonds, and getting your business to the next level. He'll provide examples of how Surety Place has been able to assist contactors in getting the bonds needed.

Susie Martzahl, from Pantera Global Technology, will present subcontractor pre-qualification, mobile app for bidding and getting new ideas for growing your construction business.

This invite is for all contractors, suppliers, and administrative employees that are interested in learning more about lien law, the bonding process and bidding better. Please feel free to share this invite with colleagues and other construction industry professionals--all are welcome! Professionals may qualify for 3.5 hours of professional education credit.

Lunch is included in the registration price.

-----------

Our Presenters will be Jim Reed, Aksel Firat and Susie Martzahl.

Jim Reed is a partner at Baird Williams & Greer, LLP, in Phoenix, a 1988 graduate of Columbia Law School and admitted in Arizona and the Third, Ninth and Federal Circuit Courts of Appeal, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. Jim has been practicing in the area of construction law, focusing on lien and bond rights, for more than twenty years, and has been a lecturer for NACM and other organizations on lien and bond law for ten years, including at the 2004 NACM National Congress. Jim has represented national and international construction companies at all phases of construction in Arizona, Nevada, and California. Jim argued and won the first “joint check rule” case in the Nevada Supreme Court, which has applied to every construction project in Nevada since 1998.

Aksel Firat has been with the Surety Place since 2008. He started out as a Producer/frontline underwriter, then Director of Sales, and eventually President. Over the past 8-9 years Aksel Firat has been a member of the NASBP and the Surety Association of Arizona (SAA). Aksel Firat was an officer to the Board of Director for the SAA from 2013-2016 and acting President in 2015. Prior to the Surety Place, Aksel was first exposed to Surety Bonds as a Senior Project Manager for a small General Construction & Development company located in Phoenix, AZ back in 1997. His experience working in the construction industry, and gaining experience in contract development, makes him a great resource for all Surety Bond needs.

Susie Martzahl has been with Pantera since it started, she worked as a Sales Executive/Account Manager and had the opportunity to increase her knowledge of the construction community with conversations on a daily basis with existing clients and prospective leads. Having this opportunity to chat with new users and companies that use different solutions has allowed her to learn important features that Pantera currently has and how the industry is using different avenues and how Pantera can increase efficiency.
