Ariel Rivka Dance Annual Season | Virtual Release

For guests unable to attend in person or who want to experience it again from the comfort of their home, we will release a virtual recording of our NYU performance of the season starting on June 3rd, 2023, from 2:30 PM until midnight on June 13th, 2023.

Even as individuals with unique stories, we make up a constellation of interconnected experiences. Ariel Rivka Dance’s 2023 Spring Season explores the solitary routines and independent desires that create a larger story—the story of us.

This all-new season includes Microvids, 19 vignettes inspired by Stefania de Kenessey’s piano movements, with live piano accompaniment. From moments of stillness and solitude to bursts of energy and passion, the second half of our 2022 season premiere, What You Want, uncovers the layers imposed by others and ones we use to protect ourselves—through expressive duets, lingering solos, and powerful collective displays, all backed by a live performance from Summer Dregs.

*It is important to note that the film Never Fade Away will not be available to the virtual audience due to the privacy request of its director and producer, Donna Weng Friedman. Despite her desire to share her father's story, she is obligated to adhere to showcase restrictions for potential future opportunities.
