For wine lovers and wine enthusiasts, join us on this journey! You will explore Buenos Aires, the ‘Paris’ of South America. Learn to tango and watch a traditional tango show. Taste wine in Mendoza, the wine region known as the ‘Napa’ valley of South America. Drive through the Andes and marvel at the highest peak in South America, Aconcagua.
Finally, taste the famous Chilean wine in two of the oldest and historic wineries in Chile.

Itinerary
Friday, October 23 - Departure
New York, JFK - Depart for Buenos Aires, Flight at 8PM
Saturday, October 24 - Arrival and City Walking Tour
Arrive to Buenos Aires at 11:35am. Upon arrival we will transfer to hotel.
We will settle in and have a quick lunch before our afternoon city walking tour.
We will receive a personal, private, 3 hour guided walking tour of Buenos Aires, which takes in the most famous and important landmarks around the historical heart of Buenos Aires City Center.
City Tour Includes
* Plaza de Mayo, the main square where the city of Buenos Aires was first successfully founded and grew outwards from
* Avenida de Mayo, the grand boulevard of Buenos Aires, with its many remarkable buildings and architectural features waiting to be discovered
* Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world, home to the famous Buenos Aires Obelisk monument
* Plaza Congreso, where the magnificently imposing Congress building can be seen
* The Buenos Aires Cathedral, a fantastic work of religious architecture, and last resting place of Argentina’s independence hero, General San Martin
* The Pink House (Casa Rosada), where the president and executive government go around their daily business, and once upon a time, Evita and President Juan Domingo Peron famously gave speeches from its balcony
* Cafe Tortoni, the cafe in a city of cafes, which also happens to be the oldest cafe in Buenos Aires, founded in 1858, with much of the wonderful original interior still intact
* Hear the fantastic history and symbolism of the Palacio Barolo building, a tribute to Dante’s Divine Comedy, and once the tallest building in South America. And then go inside (on weekdays) to see more!
* A short ride on Buenos Aires Subway Line A, the oldest subway in the southern hemisphere, with its original 1913 wooden carriages
In the evening we will have a traditional Argentinean meal and explore the nightlife of Buenos Aires!

Sunday, October 25 - Tango Day
Today we will experience what Buenos Aires is widely known for- Argentina Tango Dancing! We will have our own private lesson from a professional Argentinean dancer.
This lesson is for beginners, but can be tailored to your experience. Lessons will take place in the morning.
After lunch, we’ll take a quick visit to the Tango Museum before heading to our first wine tasting. We’ll be able to taste five wines including an Argentine sparkling white ("Champagne" - except from Argentina), a Torrontés (the signature Argentine white grape), Malbec (the signature Argentine red grape), Cabernet Sauvignon, and an exclusive reserve Malbec with only 3,000 bottles ever produced. There is also a platter of cheeses and meats to accompany the wine.
In the evening after dinner, we will go to a tango show at the well-known Esquina Carlos Gardel. The venue is in the Abasto area, a traditional tango neighborhood, in a renovated restaurant, which in the 1920s was the favorite of Carlos Gardel, the most famous tango singer of all time.
Monday, October 26 - Open Day in Buenos Aires
Today will be our last day in Buenos Aires and you will be able to choose what you’d like to do (More Tango, if you want...). Below are some examples to choose from.
* Shopping for articles in leather and suede on Florida Street and Santoa Fe Ave
* Walk the neighborhoods of Palermo Hollywood, Palermo Soho and Las Canitas.
* Take more tango lessons
* Bike ride tour north of the city
* Visit Argentina’s finest museums
* Tigre and Delta with Coast Train Tour
* Delta Premium Sailing Tour
* Half-Day trip to Tigre River Delta
After an early dinner, we will transfer to the bus station for our over-night bus ride to Mendoza. Overnight in a luxury double-decker bus w/reclining seats, food/beverage service, and bathrooms.
Tuesday, October 27 - Mendoza Wine Tasting
We will arrive Mendoza late morning and transfer to our hotel. After a quick lunch, we will start our first day of wine tasting in the Mendoza region in our own private guide and bus. Our guide will show us the hidden gems of the Mendoza Wine Country. Wine tasting is included in all visits to wineries.
Enjoy our last evening in Mendoza we will have an Argentina Asado (South American BBQ) and of course more wine!
Wednesday, October 28 - Wine Tour in Lujan de Cuyo
This morning will be a full day of wine! Our host will pick us up from the hotel. First, we visit and taste wines at Tapiz winery. There we will visit the vineyards and then the winery, tasting wine that is taken directly from the American and French oak barrels to learn the difference. Then we’ll go visit and taste wines at Achaval Ferrer, known for the elaboration of some of the most prestigious wines of Argentina. Our next stop will be at Ruca Malen winery. There we will taste their wines in a lovely room to end with a lunch facing the magnificent Los Andes mountain range. And finally, we will visit and taste Carmelo Patti winery, where we’ll meet Carmelo, one of the most remarkable winemakers in Argentina.
Thursday, October 29 - Open Activity Day
Today will be your day to explore the Mendoza area your way! Some suggested adventures are:
* Horseback Riding
* Fly fishing tours in the Uco Valley
* Wine tasting the the Uco Valley
* Spa and Relax
* Biking
* Hang Gliding
* Rappel/rock climbing
* Hiking
* Combine any of the above w/more wine tasting!
Friday, October 30 - Drive through the Andes to Santiago Chile
After breakfast we’ll pack up and board a double-decker bus to take us to Santiago, Chile. This drive has magnificent scenery as you drive through the Andes. Everyone’s favorite view of Aconcagua, the highest mountain of South America at 6962m can be seen throughout the drive.
When we arrive in Santiago in the afternoon, we will transfer in our hotel in the Providencia neighborhood of Santiago. The remainder of the afternoon will be open to explore the city.
Saturday, October 31 - Wine Country in Chile
Chile has established itself as an emerging producer of great wines and today is our chance to visit some of the most popular wineries leading the way. See for yourself what the rest of the world has been talking about on a private full day trip to two of Chile's most famous wineries. With a private guide and transportation from Santiago, you can enjoy a leisurely day learning about Chilean wine at Cousino Macul and Concha y Toro wineries, two of the oldest and most historic wineries in the country.
After our tour we will transfer to the airport for our 8PM flight to NYC.
