Event description

Description

Please join Health Education Services, the Center for Social Justice and the Women’s Center for Are You Ready 2019. This year, we are honored to feature the R&B recording artist and anti-domestic violence advocate, ROZEN. On December 5th, 2017, ROZEN released her solo debut EP,"Pages: Part I" - a two-part domestic violence awareness project inspired by the entries of her journal during her abusive past relationship. Rozen released the second half of her project, "Pages: Part II" in October 2018. As an artist and survivor, ROZEN has worked to spread awareness of relationship violence through her music. Are You Ready will feature a performance by ROZEN and a discussion on healing through artistic expression.

In addition to the evening event, Are You Ready will include a speaker lunch specifically for Georgetown University staff and faculty. Lunch will be provided by Health Education Services. During this lunch, ROZEN will speak to staff and faculty about artistic expression as well as supporting and encouraging others to heal through art. We have limited seating for this lunch event, so please RSVP. For any other information, please contact either Erin Hill with Health Education Services (elh76) or Megan Gutierrez with the Women’s Center (mg1776). Please RSVP - we can’t wait to see you!
