Have you ever been told you have a great speaking voice? Would your voice be perfect for animation or character recording? Now is your time to see if voice-over is a career you would like to explore?

If your reasons for entering the voice-over arena include achieving success, you’ll again want further clarification. What does success in voice-over mean to you? And how will you know when you’ve nabbed it?

Great ready as Ivy Entertainment in conjunction with Garden of Sound Voice Over Studio host you through an afternoon of the basic fundamentals of voice over as an optional career. (limited to 15 seats each).

Topics to include:

- Preparing for the voice-over industry
- Studio protocol and technique
- Appropriate copy for voice
- Voice and speech mechanics
- Networking in the voice over world
- A career on-camera vs. off-camera

*including microphone time for all! (with take home sample)

Tickets include:

- A professional demo clip of their voice with coaching by industry professionals
- Concessions and food
- Both classes limited to 15 attendees

Each session is a total of 2 1/2 hours

INSTRUCTORS

Tessa Auberjonois
Tessa Auberjonois grew up in Hollywood and is a critically acclaimed and versatile stage actress. Having trained at Yale School of Drama as well as in London at Lamda, Tessa continued on to a long and diverse career on stage, film, television, commercials, print, and as a voice-over artist in commercials, video games, and ADR revoicing of several major feature films, working closely with artists such as Steven Soderberg, Drew Goddard, Joss Wheedon, and Thelma Schoonmaker. She has appeared Off-Broadway on stages such as the Lucille Lortel, the Acorn, the Player's Theatre, and the Rattlestick (among others), and has performed in and helped develop Premier productions at many of the nation's foremost regional theaters- including South Coast Repertory Theatre, leading roles at the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C., and the Yale Repertory Theatre. She trained as a dancer at SAB, and then received her formal theatre training at Yale Drama and LAMDA in London. As a voice-over performer she has been heard regularly on television as the voice of FEMA, Glade scented oil products, The Crave for White Castle, the Goodlife Recipes, many others, as well as numerous radio spots, video games, animated series and audiobooks and has re-voiced several feature film performances.

Rick Zieff

Rick Zieff has been immersed in the entertainment industry for over twenty-five years. He has produced, directed, cast, written, and acted. Rick currently voice-directs and stars in the new animated series “Get Blake”, which launched on Nickelodeon in April 2016, and voices roles on “Clarence”, “Space Racers”, “Yo-Kai Watch”, and is thrilled to start season 3 as Spike the dog on “The Tom and Jerry Show” from Warner Brothers. Other projects include casting and directing a “motion comic” for Cie Studios and developing two animated pilots. Cartoon Network was the home of the “Gundam” series Rick directed (and starred in) for two seasons. Rick also wrote and produced TV promos for full seasons of WB shows, such as “One Tree Hill”, “Third Watch”, and “Gilmore Girls”. Rick has become the go-to man for Alternate Reality Game (ARG) casting and voice-directing. Among his numerous credits are the online games for “The Dark Knight”, “The International”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Tron: Legacy”, and “Dig”. Rick also helped voice-cast the pioneering web series “The Soul Patrol”. In a world of branding and viral marketing, Rick Zieff’s clients, such as Sony, Disney, Dreamworks, G4, Activision, Sunrise, Bandai, Pioneer, Nitto, Jell-o, Hasbro, Microsoft, and Leap Frog, keep him busy with a variety of marketing and promotional projects. In 2017 Rick was recently nominated for a Daytime Emmy in the category of Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for his work as Spike the dog in the “The Tom & Jerry Show.”
