Description

The Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Program is hosting the fourth annual one-day conference in honor of Arbor Day and all of the hardworking professionals and stewards that care for our community trees.


Registration is $40 before April 18th; $55 on April 19th and after.

*Lunch is included in the cost of the conference.

Schedule:

8:30am: Refreshments and check-in

9:00am: Opening Remarks

9:15am: Keynote Speaker: Jan Reynolds

10:30-11:45am: Session 1 Workshops (choose 1):

  • Pest Round Up
  • Town Forest Management
  • EAB Roundtable Discussion
  • Proven IPM Principles for Managing Pests

11:45am: Lunch (provided)

1-2:15pm: Session 2 Workshops (choose 1):

  • How to Instantly Recognize Trees
  • UCF Inventory Tools- Updates and Beyond
  • Urban Tree Care: Past and Present
  • What's Wrong with My Tree?

2:30-3:15pm: Session 3 Workshops (choose 1):

  • Throughfall & Stemflow: Water's Path to Forest Floor
  • Lightning Round
  • Native Woody Perennials and Pollinators
  • Tree Preservation Outside the Box

3:30-4:30pm: Award Ceremony

4:30pm: End of Day


*ISA & pesticide applicator credits will be available for some sessions.

The $40 registration fee can be paid online with a credit card or offline with a check.
