Event description

Description

This aquatic restricted-use pesticides (RUP) license exam preparation class will review pest organisms in aquatic environments, the chemical measures that pertain to the control of such pests, and the equipment or methodologies required to safely and effectively implement such pest-control measures. This review also will cover calculation of volume of water to be treated, application rates, pH, potential secondary effects, various water use situations, potential downstream effects, potential pesticide effects on non-target organisms, and limited-area application principles.

Important! New FDACS regulations require ALL applicants who will be taking one or more pesticide exams to first register online with FDACS and obtain a voucher number.

Go to http://aesecomm.freshfromflorida.com to register online for your pesticide exam(s). At the FDACS website, go to "New User?" and click "Sign Up" to begin the pesticide exam registration process.

Please remember, you will NOT be able to take a pesticide exam at the Aquatics class without a voucher number!

Also, be sure to sign up for the Aquatics class as usual on this Eventbrite website either before or after registering online with FDACS for the exam(s).

If you will not be taking any exams at the Aquatics class, you will not need to register with FDACS. Simply sign up for the Aquatics class on this website as usual.

Please do not hesitate to call Bob Mertens at 941-861-9805 or rmertens@scgov.net if you have any questions!
