About this Event

WANTED! Several aggressive water weed species are on the move and threaten our recreation, ecosystems, and economy. Geauga & Portage Soil and Water Conservation Districts are pleased to present this special online presentation featuring Mark Warman, Cleveland Metroparks Aquatic Invasive Species Project Coordinator. Learn about aquatic invasive plants creeping into Ohio’s natural areas and invading our backyard ponds. Identification, notes from the field, and response strategies will be discussed, along with rare native plant discoveries!

Registration is required for this free online presentation. Zoom access information will be provided upon registration and one day prior to the class. For more information call 440-834-1122 or email gprunty@geaugaswcd.com.

This program is made possible by the Early Detection and Rapid Response to Aquatic Invasive Plants of Concern in Ohio’s Lake Erie Basin Project. Funding is administered jointly by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service via the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.
