Event Information
About this Event
APSEA and ACSED invite you to our monthly workshops open to anyone interested in learning about career development and upward mobility.
Session Overview: Controller Yee and the State Controller’s Office (SCO) team have been dubbed “fiscal first responders” during the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining and adapting critical government functions to meet the needs of all Californians. In looking toward the future, Controller Yee will discuss the importance of diversity and equity in leadership and developing human capital, ensuring that inclusion efforts are a baseline, not just a goal.
About the Speaker: With 35 years of experience in public service, Betty T. Yee has been the State Controller since 2015, following two terms on the California Board of Equalization. As the state’s chief fiscal officer, she serves on or chairs critical boards and commissions overseeing taxation, state lands, water, public pensions, housing, energy, transportation, and more. Controller Yee is the tenth woman in California history to be elected to statewide office.
Limited Time Offer: This month's Virtual Session is being offered free of charge to attendees. Pre-registration is required.
