Event description

Description

Animation remains as popular as ever, but is commonly misconceived as a fully-digitized field. Stop Motion Animation is a hands-on approach to a digital medium. Students will storyboard, create movie sets, design characters, direct and edit their animations over the course of three weeks. Students will leave this camp with their own polished animated short shared on Engine's Vimeo Channel!

FULL COST: $225 per full week or $50 per day.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: April 14

EARLY-BIRD SPECIAL: $200 per full week and $40 per day if you sign up by March 23. Discount will be available when you click the green TICKETS button.

INSTRUCTOR: Matt Tanzi, a practicing animator and art educator. Though he began his career as a painter and illustrator, Matt (eventually) found that film and animation are the best ways to bring the ideas in his head to life. Matt earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Montserrat College of Art in 2012 and recently earned his Master of Fine Arts degree at Maine College of Art. Throughout his academic career, he has put special attention into the study of humor, satire, education, and how they all correlate. His hobbies include working. Visit his website.
