Second Saturdays at the library are back! This will be our first time offering a blended option (both in-person and virtual), and the first time gathering at the library since before the pandemic! We hope you'll join us!

IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND IN PERSON, THE DEXTER DISTRICT LIBRARY REQUIRES REGISTRATION FOR ALL INDOOR, IN-PERSON PROGRAMS. Click the REGISTER button on this page to reserve your seat by 8:30am on Saturday April 9. Registrants will need to register all members of their party. Only pre-registered attendees will be seated. To provide for adequate social distancing, the Library limits the number of in-person attendees at each program. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated. The Library will continue to monitor COVID-19 conditions and the Library Board will review these requirements on a monthly basis. Face coverings for in-person attendees are optional but encouraged in group settings. Face covering requirements are subject to change without notice.
Whether you attend virtually or in-person, this event is great opportunity to start your weekend mindfully! Our Second Saturday meditation is a free ongoing community mindfulness meditation for anyone in the Dexter area and beyond. It takes place on the second Saturday of each month. Sessions are guided by experienced mindfulness practitioners/facilitators. The sessions have no religious affiliation and are appropriate for beginners as well as experienced meditators. Brought to you by the Dexter Wellness Coalition, which is part of 5HealthyTowns.org, and the Dexter District Library.
This one-hour meditation practice includes a guided meditation for about 20-30 minutes, with an optional discussion afterward, focusing on a mindfulness topic.
Whether you're brand-new to meditation or a seasoned veteran, you're invited! Mindful Dexter events are free and open to all.
