The Chair of the IPPF Annual Patient/Doctor Meeting in Boston - Dr. Razzaque Ahmed, will be joining the IPPF for a Town Hall Conference Call on April 25, 2012 at 5:00 pm Pacific Time / 8:00 pm Eastern Time. Dr. Ahmed is also the founder of the first Center For Blistering Diseases in the U.S., appointed to HARVARD UNIVERSITY, HARVARD SCHOOL OF DENTAL MEDICINE, and is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also responsible for the national coverage determination by The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services use of Intravenous Immune Globulin for Autoimmune Mucocutaneous Blistering Diseases.
His practice has a significant focus on autoimmune mucocutaneous diseases. In addition to providing medication, he teaches his patients how to cope with the disease and takes a wholesome multidisciplinary approach.
Join the IPPF on April 25 to listen to Dr. Ahmed talk about pemphigus and pemphigoid - and ask him your own questions! Please remember that he cannot give specific medical advice, but he can definitely help get you to ask your doctor the right questions or provide them with some added insight.

Instructions and the call in number/PIN will be provided via email on or about April 24, 2012.
Attendees will call in from their own phone (landline, cellphone, etc). Attendees will be provided the access phone number and PIN in advance.
Callers will provide their name, as requested, before entering the conference.
Callers will be initially be placed on MUTE to keep noise to a minimum. A representative from the IPPF will open the meeting after which Dr. Grando will begin his presentation. When it is time for questions from attendees, instructions will be provided on how to be placed in the Question Queue by "rasing their hand" (a code to enter your phone that will be given to you during the meeting).
Callers will be allowed to ask their question in the order they "raise their hand". Callers will be allowed one main question and one follow up question depending on the number of attendees and the size of the Question Queue.
