April 2015 Sibshop
Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM (PDT)
What is a Sibshop?
Sibshops are a fun-filled day designed just for sibs of individuals with disabilities. Sibshops are opportunities for brothers and sisters, AGES 8-13, of children with special health and developmental needs to obtain peer support and education within a recreational context.
We will spend 4 solid hours getting to know fellow sibs, playing games, and embracing what it means to be a sib. Older sibs who have been trained by Sibshop creator: Don Meyer, will facilitate the day.
* Sibshops are not therapy, group or otherwise, although their effect may be therapeutic for some children.
