3:30PM - 10PM
(Buses will depart at 3:30PM from the Loews Hollywood Hotel
immediately following the closing plenary of the Champion’s Retreat.)
Wrap up an incredible Champions Retreat experience by getting out onto the soil with your peers, breaking bread together, and enjoying a first-hand experience of the regenerative economy at work. Thanks to Dr. Bronner’s and Patagonia, immediately after the close of the Champion’s Retreat, we’ll have a chance to tour Apricot Lane Farms, a Regenerative Organic and biodynamic farm, 40 miles north of Los Angeles, that is the subject of the award-winning feature film, The Biggest Little Farm, and then stay on the farm for a beautiful farm reception featuring food grown on the farm and amazing local biodynamic wine and regenerative beer.
Regenerative organic agriculture is widely viewed as one of the leading solutions to climate change in its ability to capture carbon while being healthier for people, animals, and planet. Regenerative principles will also play a central role in the content at the Champion’s Retreat. There is simply no better opportunity to understand the power and potential of this way of growing food than getting out onto a farm.
All attendees of the Champion’s Retreat are warmly invited to this opt-in event, but tickets are limited to 100, and tickets are likely to sell out fast, so register as soon as possible! NOTE: Ticket prices are $110 inclusive of bus transportation to/from the farm, an onsite reception including regenerative wine and beer and heavy appetizers made with food lovingly grown on the farm, and the 2 hour farm tour and site fee that goes to support the amazing work of Apricot Lane Farms. The actual all-in cost to attend this event is over $200 per person, but thanks to the generosity of Dr. Bronner's and Patagonia, we are able to offer it at $110 per person.
NOTE:
- Please wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking on dirt paths and consider bringing a light jacket as we'll be out after dark.
- For greatest learning and impact, we strongly encourage you to see The Biggest Little Farm documentary in advance of of the tour. You can see it for free either on Monday night of the retreat (register here) OR you can rent or buy it on iTunes for here.
Thank you to Darcy Shiber-Knowles and Kevin Lee of Dr. Bronner’s for planning the event and to our event sponsors Dr. Bronner’s, Patagonia, Regenerative Organic Association, B Lab, and of course, our hosts at Apricot Lane Farms.
Looking forward to seeing you on the farm!
