Join this live interactive tournament which is sure to a fun, challenging learning experience for all. Whether you are eager to prove your web application AppSec knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and more….and watch as you climb to the top of the Leaderboard or simply want to learn more about how to code more securely – everyone is welcome and there will be prizes / SWAG for the winner(s). The tournament will be conducted using the Secure Code Warrior platform, an innovative online, hands-on, gamified SaaS Learning Platform that actively engages developers to Learn & Build their secure coding skills. This approach is changing the way developers think and behave as they build & test software.

Bring your laptop (not tablet), choose your preferred language/framework, whether it be C# (.NET) MVC, C# (.NET) Web Forms, Java Enterprise Edition, Java Spring, Python Django, Ruby on Rails, or Scala Play, and launch into the AppSec Wars Challenge!


Steve Allor will host the event. Steve is Director of the Americas for Secure Code Warrior, a global security company that makes software development better and more secure. Since joining Secure Code Warrior soon after its inception, Steve has been passionate about helping large global enterprises in the finance, technology and telecommunications industries to scale an engaging, interactive learning approach, enabling these organizations to rally their developers as the first line of defense in their cybersecurity strategies. Over the past 20 years, Steve has held various executive leadership roles in sales, business development and marketing for technology companies, where his focus was on enabling customer success as he helped scale and grow the business. Steve has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing at Boston College Carroll School of Management, as well as a Master of Business Administration at Harvard. Are there ID requirements to enter the event?

Yes, a photo ID will be required to enter the building.

If I register for a workshop, do I also need to register for the BASC 2018 event itself?

Yes, you should also register for BASC so that your meal choice will be counted.
