Description

You are invited to join us along with industry, community and technical colleges, and other stakeholders, as we convene a facilitated workshop for the purpose of sharing and disseminating information about apprenticeship programs in support of the marine industries of Washington State. This workshop will engage with industry partners to collect data regarding high priority technical skills needs; present apprenticeship models; share information and best practices from current apprenticeship programs; ask all attendees to participate in a facilitated discussion about developing innovative strategies to support and grow apprenticeship for the marine industries in our state.

The purpose of the workshop is to:

  1. Map three to five high-priority trades with industry subject matter experts, such as: electro-mechanical skills, and welding.

  2. Share apprenticeship models with industry and stakeholder partners.

  3. Engage industry and system partners regarding the potential pathways to apprenticeship, utilizing innovative approaches, technology and partnerships.

Morning refreshments and lunch are provided.
