Event description

Description

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are leading the way towards more accessible websites and software all over the world. As they continue to be incorporated into US and international laws, it’s important for developers, designers and content managers to understand what they mean. It’s equally essential to understand how they translate into real life access for users living with disabilities.

In this year’s version of our most popular training class, we will focus on the latest version of WCAG: 2.1 AA. We’ll cover in this 3-hour course:

  • A walk through of WCAG basics

  • How the 2.1 AA changes impact user experience

  • Showcase real life case studies of application challenges and successes

  • APPLY YOUR KNOWLEDGE RIGHT AWAY: Identify accessibility issues in a fun, interactive exercise!

Led by WeCo’s Accessibility Team, made up of digital professionals who also live with disabilities, you’ll receive so much more than just an understanding of what WCAG 2.1 AA is. You’ll know how to successfully apply it to your project.

INCLUDES OUR 2.1 REFERENCE GUIDE: WeCo’s Guide to Applying WCAG 2.1 AA (accessible electronic document) is yours to take home with this training.

Great for anyone new to WCAG and accessibility, or who wishes to brush up their knowledge. Excellent for everyone who wants to successfully achieve 2.1 AA in their project.
