On Friday, December 11, 2015, the Louisiana Association of Public Charter Schools (LAPCS) will host its annual APPLY YOURSELF WRITING LAB:
- 8:30am-9am: registration and coffee
- 9am-12pm: sessions; workshops
- 12pm-1pm: working lunch
- 1pm-3pm: sessions; workshops; and writing labs
This one day, intensive program is a day for charter applicants to:
- collaborate with each other
- plan sections of their application
- work on writing portions of their application
- receive feedback
Throughout the day, leading experts will present informational sessions intended to answer questions about the charter application and rubric. Applicants will have the opportunity to attend workshops and focus on specific areas of the application. Finally (and new this year), there will be time for applicants to draft sections of their applications and receive feedback from the experts.
The training is geared towards individuals/groups developing new Louisiana charter schools to be presented to a local school board, a district school board, or BESE. We strongly encourage you to bring your team to the event.
Seats are very limited, so be sure to register today.
