Description

Attend one of our upcoming Measure A Competitive Grant Program Application Workshops

You are invited to join us for one of our ten upcoming Workshops for Measure A Competitive Grant Applications!

These mandatory technical workshops that have been designed to assist eligible agencies in applying for RPOSD Competitive Grants.

Competitive Grants in this phase include 1) Recreation Access and 2) Youth & Veteran Job Training and Placement Programs in Los Angeles County.

Recreation Access are programs that seek to increase the ability of Los Angeles County residents to access public lands, park facilities, and park amenities, including education, interpretive services, safety information, transportation and other activities that increase accessibility, especially those in High-Need or Very-High-Need Study Areas.

Youth & Veteran Job Training and Placement Programs will fund programs for organizations or program providers within Los Angeles County that administer 1) a program that provides education, skill training, and career pathway development to young adults, aged 18 to 25, or veterans, to implement park projects and programs or 2) a program that provides certification and placement services, or apprenticeship opportunities, for young adults, aged 18 to 25, or veterans, for jobs and careers in the Park and Recreation field.

It is highly recommended that multiple representatives attend from each agency to ensure that anyone involved with the grant application process for the agency is familiar with the Application process and the new Grants Management System.

If you are not able to attend any of the scheduled workshops, please contact us at info@rposd.lacounty.gov.

If any accommodations are needed, please contact Ani Yeghiyan at 626-588-5040 or by email at ayeghiyan@rposd.lacounty.gov. Requests should be made as soon as possible but at least 4 weeks prior to the scheduled meeting.
