Event description
A workshop on how to apply apologetics in the urban context.

About this Event

Our cities and churches are under attack. As we seek to declare Christ’s gospel, other contrary messages and pseudo gospels are confusing and deceiving many poor and under-resourced people. Apologetics is crucial everywhere, but there are unique challenges and pitfalls to defending the true gospel in hard place. Join us for timely teaching and practical application on doing apologetics in the urban context.

Jerome Gay is the pastor of teaching and vision at Vision Church in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has a vision to see leaders raised up within the urban context and sent out to plant gospel-centered churches. Jerome is the author of Renewal: Grace and Redemption in the Story of Ruth. He is married to Crystal, and they have two children.

Tyler St. Clair is the lead pastor of Cornerstone Church Detroit in Detroit, Michigan. He also serves as the network lead for Church in Hard Places in Acts 29’s U.S. Midwest Network. Tyler is married to his best friend, Elita, and they have five amazing kids.

Join us for this conversation as we present the challenges, suggest some ways forward, and build momentum towards defending the true gospel in hard places.
