In this workshop, we'll walk you through what it takes to link different IT systems together thanks to this common tool called an Application Programming Interface (API).

Using examples of Airbnb, Uber and many more, the workshop will look at how Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) can generate incredibly useful features that we use every day on the web.

Here is an overview of what you’ll learn in the evening: The basics of Web APIs - what they are, how they work and why they matter. Examples of Airbnb, Uber, Timeout and many more and demonstrate how they can be used in action
