Event description

Description

The Apalachicola River has been called “the Lifeblood of the Bay” and is vital to our way of life in Franklin County. In this class participants will learn all about the ecology, culture, and history surrounding the Apalachicola River, as well as come to appreciate its importance in modern interstate relationships. After the lecture portion of this brand new class we will embark on a river journey aboard the ANERR research vessel Henry Lee to get an up-close and in person look at some of the fantastic floodplain ecosystems and old-time Apalachicola River distributaries upriver. Tickets for the class are $25 and must be purchased in advance by clicking the button in the upper right corner. Seats fill up fast!
