This conference is directed to planners, plan commission members, landscape architects, public officials, students and interested citizens.

The planning profession is indelibly linked with economic development. This link goes beyond obvious ties like facilitating employment growth and ensuring that adequate infrastructure is in place to serve businesses and residents. As planners, our responsibilities extend to making sure our communities maintain a sense of place that attracts employers and residents, balancing regulations and business growth, maintaining quality of life, linking employees with an adequate supply of housing, and providing equal access to the opportunities within our communities, among many other things. Cancellation/Changes Policy

• Registrations, changes, or cancellations via telephone will not be accepted.
• Any changes to a registration must be received by September 17 by email to dnemeth@1kfriends.org.
• Any cancellation must be received by September 17 to be eligible for refund.
• There is $5 processing fee for refunds, which will be deducted from your check.
• Please allow 6 weeks to process your refund.

What if I have a special lunch requirement?

You will be able to specify this when you register.

Can I register the day of the event?

Yes, but only with check or cash. Checks will include a $10 processing fee.
