Event description

Description

£3 per person, for ages 4 and up.

Come along to a fun, relaxed introductory workshop about the wonderful world of Anthotyping.
Anthotyping is the process of using plant pigments to make photographic images, similar to that of cyanotype printing. In this session participants will learn the history of the process and how to extract pigments from the petals of flowers to paint this onto paper to take home and use to make their own images, patience is a must for the process! All of this will be explained and demonstrated in the session, no previous photographic experience required.

There will be two sessions running throughout the day, one starting at Midday and another starting at 2pm. Due to the size of the snug places will be limited so please turn up on time to avoid disappointment.

This is part of Sophie Sherwood's Cosmos exhibition in the Tobacco Factory snug, which will be displayed on the walls during the workshop.
