Antelope Valley African American Infant & Maternal Mortality Community Acti...
Event Information
Description
Please join the MOVEMENT on Sept. 26, 2019 for our 2nd covening of the African American Infant & Maternal Mortality Community Action Team.
If you missed us the first time, here we are again and we will be here every other month. If you we were with us in July during our launch, welcome back!
Antelope Valley has long been facing alarmingly high rates of infant and maternal deaths. Whether you identify as a community member or resident, a mom, a dad, a grandma or grandpa or any other family member, a community leader, a young adult, a community leader, an advocate, a teacher, a service provider, a midwife, a doula, this is a forum for us to come together and find solutions.
If you are in any way concerned and want to help stop these deaths from happening - this is your community action team.
We welcome people from all walks of life- so no experience required or expected. Your words matter, your thoughts matter. Together we can make a positive impact and aim to slow and stop African American babies and moms dying in the Antelope Valley.
The meeting location is:
Antelope Valley Partners for Health (AVPH)
44226 10th Street West
Lancaster, CA. 93534
