Event description

Description

The Tennessee State Library and Archives invites Tennessee teachers to attend a workshop analyzing the experiences of Tennesseans during World War I. Focusing on primary sources, this workshop will explore the various ways Tennesseans participated in the war and how the war's development impacted Tennesseans, both at home and abroad. Topics include reasons for American entry into war, doughboy experiences, the home front, and new technology.

This workshop meets the curriculum standards for World War I found in the 5th grade, high school American history, and high school World history curriculum.

Teacher participants receive lunch and a $25 stipend to assist with mileage and travel.
