Another Kind of Soul identifies a fresh trio chemistry and sound between these veteran Canadian jazz artists, who are joining together under the leadership of Paul Novotny at Gallery 345. Perfectly suited to the acoustics of the gallery, Another Kind Of Soul will offer an intimate and nuanced piano trio sound, while featuring adept improvisational performance on standards, jazz songs, and originals. Novotny and Elmes were long-time members of the Brian Browne Trio, and have also honed their sound with Cedar Walton, but now, with Mark Eisenman these three musicians will embark on their own unique journey to explore Another Kind of Soul. Enjoy and experience the Paul Novotny Trio with Barry Elmes and Mark Eisenman in the intimate Gallery 345 concert-space on Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday October 6th.
