Event description

Description

Yellow pea soup, or Ärtsoppa, has been a classic Swedish/Scandinavian food for centuries. Served in Sweden since around the Middle Ages it was traditionally prepared on Thursday prior to the Christian fast that began on Fridays when meat was prohibited. Still consumed today, it is often found on school lunch lines and in the military canteen. In addition to the ärtsoppa, plättar, or small round pancakes, are served with the soup and topped with fruit or lingonberry (lingonsylt) jam, and fresh whipped cream.

Join us for Drott Lodge's annual Pea Soup and Plättar dinner on Sunday, March 12, 2016, beginning at 2:30pm. Drott Lodge Members admission is Free, non-members a nominal donation at the door is requested to cover costs.

Printed ticket is RSVP only (member and non-member)
