About this event

The New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association will host its Annual Meeting and Awards on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 online through Zoom. The meeting will be held 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. CST. Robert L. Woodson, Sr. will serve as our keynote speaker. Founder and President of The Woodson Center, he founded the Center in 1981 to help residents of low-income neighborhoods address the problems of their communities. He is an early MacArthur “genius” awardee and the recipient of the 2008 Bradley Prize, the Presidential Citizens Award, and a 2008 Social Entrepreneurship Award from the Manhattan Institute.

There is no cost to participate, but you must register on EventBrite by August 24, 2021. The President’s Award, the Jack Martzell Professionalism Award, and the Camille Gravel Pro-Bono/Public Service Award recipients will be recognized during the program.

In accordance with the Chapter’s By-Laws, Hon. Donna Phillips Currault, our current President-Elect, will automatically succeed Steven F. Griffith, Jr. as President of our Chapter. Election of the remaining officers and directors will take place at the Annual Meeting.
