Guitarist Josh Moore will be performing from 3-4PM, followed by the annual Holiday Party from 4-6PM.
Admission to the guitar performance is free with an RSVP. It is a seated event.
Josh Moore is a guitarist based in San Francisco, who has been performing since the age of 14. Under the tutelage of the world-renowned guitarist Sergio Assad, Josh recently earned a diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He also holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Southern California, where he studied under Scott Tennant, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Buffalo State College, where he was mentored by Evan Drummond. Josh is part of the Moore/Artwick guitar duo, which specializes in contemporary works, and he is a frequent performer in the capactiy of solo classical guitarist and as a member of chamber, jazz and contemporary groups. Recently Josh played electric guitar in the world premier performance "Emerald Shadows" by Adam Borecki and in "SYDEGT" by Saad Haddad. As a competitor, Josh has been awarded 1st prize in multiple guitar competitions including the Pacific Guitar Festival, the Aaron Greene Guitar Competition, and the Young Artists Concerto Competition, which included a solo performance with the Buffalo State Philharmonia. Having studied with some of the world's most prominant guitarists and pedagogues including Pepe Romero, Manuel Barrueco, Alvaro Pierri, Tilman Hoppstock, Roland Dyens, Paul O'Dette, Marcin Dylla, Zoran Dukic, and Adam Holzman, Josh's recital is a gift to our community this holiday season.
