PROVIDENCE AFTER SCHOOL ALLIANCE (PASA) presents:

3rd Annual Education Breakfast: Connecting Providence Youth with Our Diverse Arts Community


Please join us for a Panel Discussion with Providence Youth, featuring special guests:

Therman Statom, RISD alumnus and nationally recognized sculptor, glass artist and painter

and

Matthew Shenoda, VP, Social Equity & Inclusion, RISD Professor Literary Arts & Studies



The Youth Panel Discussion will be followed by Interactive Table Discussions led by 20 local artists and arts educators working in theater, dance, music, illustration, fashion, design, ceramics and painting, including:

  • Joe Wilson Jr., Actor and Coordinator for Activism and Performance, Trinity Rep

  • Len Cabral, International Storyteller

  • Allison Newsome, Sculptor

  • Harrison Grigsby (Jon Hope), Performance Rap Musician

  • Yemi Sekoni, Founder & Creative Director Lights Fashion Philanthropy, RI Fashion Week

  • Jessica Brown (The Lady J), Artist and Musician, Extraordinary Rendition Band, RISD Professor Industrial Design

FAQs

When will the program start?
Please arrive at 7:30 AM to allow time for parking, check in and to enjoy breakfast. The speaking program will start promptly at 8:00 AM so we can end on time.

Where do I park?
There will be valet parking at The Art Club that morning. Please arrive early to avoid lines.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Printed tickets are not necessary for this event.

Is there a snow date?
The Breakfast will take place the following week on Wednesday, March 6 if there is a snow day.
