Celebrate with us another year of empowering rural Ugandan communities through our partnership with URDT and African Rural University. Don’t miss your chance to connect with their stories and learn about new opportunities to further the impact of your investment!

Meet our Keynote Speaker, Her Excellency Oliver Wonekha, the Ugandan ambassador to the United States since July 2013. Ambassador Wonekha was raised in a rural area of Uganda near the Kenyan border and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Makerere University in Kampala. She was elected into Uganda’s parliament from 2001 to 2011, where she addressed agricultural issues and served as the chair of the agricultural committee. Ambassador Wonekha has focused on integrating grassroots initiatives with global economic programs and has been outspoken on girl education. Ambassador Wonekha also has a long-standing relationship with Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe (CEO and Co-Founder of Uganda Rural Development and Training Program) and Dr. Joseph Mukiibi  (Vice-Chancellor of African Rural University), and visited the URDT / ARU campus in 2009.
