Big Red Athletics develops leadership in coaches and their student-athletes. Denison's approach is unique in the world of college sports, as each staff member is involved in the process, and common values provide the framework for teaching life skills through sport. Examples include teamwork, leadership, persistence, flexibility, and growth in the face of adversity. Nan and Jack share their innovative model for the current and future success of intercollegiate athletics at Denison.

What defines a great college experience? President Weinberg shares recent research on what matters most, and he discusses the ways that Denison is a genuine leader in providing the three most important elements in creating positive impact on students' lives following graduation: fostering meaningful interpersonal relationships; providing learning that extends across the entire campus beyond the classrooms, laboratories, and studios; and offering an abudance of exceptional experiential opportunities.
