Peace and prosperity, health and harmony, and freedom and democracy are endangered species today. They are already extinct in some parts of the world. As the earth gets hotter, temperatures between nations and within countries are going up.

Can Delaware's peace lovers sit at home and hope for the best? Instead, let’s gather on Sunday, April 10 at 1:00 p.m. on East Main Street in Newark to hold hands as a community—regardless of cultural, physical and religious differences—to show our strength and unity. We have done this annually for the last six years. But the need was never greater than it is today.

Don't forget to wish our Muslim friends Happy Ramadan on that day. The month of fasting this year begins on April 3.
