Eligibility Requirements for Citizenship (minimum requirement)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have lived in the United States as a Green Card Holder (permanent resident) for five years (or three years if married to and living with the same U.S. Citizen spouse)
Information/Documents to bring to Citizenship Drive:
- Green card and all passports used in the last five years (Green Card must be active-cannot be expired)
- Home/School/Employment history for the last five years (or three years if married to a U.S. Citizen)
- Children’s information (child/adult/biological or stepchildren, deceased/where abouts unknown- date of birth, addresses, etc.)
- Marital history (information about your current and past spouses)
- If you have been arrested, cited, or given a ticket(s), you must bring your certificate of disposition for each incident (if any)
- If you are getting Government Assistance, carry those documents as proof
- Bring your current federal income tax return, wage statements (W2/1099), and current pay stubs
Note: $725 USCIS filing fee unless you QUALIFY FOR THE FREE WAIVER. If you are getting food stamps carry your most recent Tax Return.
