About this Event

BABA OLUTUNDE & INTIMATE OCCASIONS PRESENTS

People without the knowledge of their true identity, origin and culture is like a tree without roots: Marcus Garvey

The Odu Ifa Corpus says that we came from heaven to earth to fulfill our destinies and were giving talents, gifts and powers to successfully do so

This year marks 400 years since the first documented arrival of Africans to the United States on a Dutch owned ship. In alignment with the powers of the universe to recognize the significance of this anniversary, Intimate Occasions LLC will be creating the first Pan-African Black Witches & Warlock's Ball introducing and reintroducing the need to recognize African Spirituality as the core of who we really are as a people, a community and as a vibrate nation on October 19, 2019.

The theme for this event is a commemoration of the 400 Years of African Spirituality as “The Black Witches & Warlock's Ball.” This event celebrates the history of African Culture, Metaphysics and Powers, which has had an enduring impact on America’s history. These important subjects had set the American Nation on a course towards the ideals of democracy, diversity, oppression and Religion. The Black Witches & Warlock's Ball honors the countless contributions of Africans and African-Americans have made since 1619, despite the debilitating effects of slavery and racial discrimination.

Intimate Occasions will honor some of our recent unsung heroes who are still in the trenches and on the move to help educate, liberate and inspire us to continue to strive being in alignment with our universal calling and responsibilities. The struggle for Spiritual Liberation, Unity, Truth and Cultural expression continues as it has for over 400 years in this country. The Black Witches & Warlocks Ball will feature inspirational speakers, New Thought spiritual teachers, community leaders and educators, author, life coaches and humanitarians spanning the last 40 years.

The Black Witches & Warlock's Ball will also highlight the importance of self awareness, communal building and influential living. When President Hoover was in office during the 50's he made a bold but yet frightful public speech on national television to the American whites, stating that his biggest fears in America, and encouraging white American citizens to feel the same way, was "BLACK UNITY". As a people, a community, as a nation, and as SPIRITS having a hue men experience we have dealt with this kind of fear and oppression for much too long. The universe is saying, our ancestors are saying, our higher consciousness are saying "that enough is enough", its time to rise from the ruining put on us by a society that fears our strength, our purpose, our powers, our magic, our truths and our unity. We will no longer be labeled the sleeping GIANT!!! but will march forward with our eyes, minds, hearts and souls open to liberation and evolution of our lives. The current Black National outcry and theme is "BLACK LIVES MATTER" but I say that "BLACK POWERS & SPIRITUALITY MATTERS" as it does in the universe as it does on earth. This event was established to address the lack of communal unity and black spirituality representation of melanin people across the world. The mission of the "Black Witches & Warlock's Ball" is to recognize the creative and natural God given powers, the magic, the leadership, achievement and contributions of ourselves and those who are faithfully putting in the time, efforts and work to help us all experience the joy, the beauty and the inspiration that life has to offer to those who are willing to embrace it.

African Americans in the United States don’t need a reminder of how important understanding our societal beginnings are to our modern-day accomplishments. We all are just a small part of a greater push to highlight some of the hidden wisdom from past centuries. Intimate Occasions is doing its part to initiate the space and the conversation of tracing our royalty and past by linking it to the present by honoring our modern leaders, our ancestors, and the realities of who and what we truly are. Intimate Occasions seeks to educate African Americans and the global community about the importance of cultivating and manifesting our inner powers to their highest potential to continue the work for Freedom that so many lived and died for globally and in the United States, and tell the story of the resilience African Spirituality and it's contributions to modern Religions and metaphysical practices, and most of all African Americans perseverance that influenced this country for over four centuries.

This year, Intimate Occasions is pushing forward the vision of a powerful people that is strengthened and enriched by it's most important commodity: its community.

We hope that you will accept our invitation and join us as an honoree. Your participation would mean a great deal to us, our partners and supporters, and would help make this event a tremendous success.

Thanking you all in advance for moving this invitation forward.

Warm regards, Sincerely,

Baba Olutunde / Founder INTIMATE OCCASIONS LLC
