Anne Gribbons is a native of Sweden who has been active in American Dressage since the 1970-ies. She has trained and shown over a dozen of her own horses to Grand Prix, nine of which were USET long listed.
She has also brought numerous students and their horses to FEI levels. In 1995 , she was a member of the Pan American Silver Medal team in Argentina, and she also represented the USET at the North American Championships in 1985 and the World Championships in 1986.
She went to Germany at three different occasions to compete and to train with Harry Boldt, Herbert Rehbein and Volker Moritz, spending a total of two and a half years. She competed successfully at Aachen, Falsterbo, Schooten and other European shows.
Mrs. Gribbons was the North American representative to the FEI World Cup Committee 1994 to 1997, served for ten years on the US Equestrian Federation Board of Directors, is a member of the USEF High Performance Dressage Committee and a member of the USET National Advisory Board.
She was a long time member, Co-chair of the USEF Dressage Committee and is a past chair of the USET Active Athletes Committee. In 2003 she served as Chef D?Equipe for the US riders at the World Cup Finals in Gothenburg, Sweden. Since 2010 she is a member of the FEI Dressage Committee
In 2009, Anne Gribbons was appointed the Dressage Technical Advisor by the Active Athlete Committee of the United States Equestrian Federation, and in January 2010 she started her work as TA/Coach for the US elite dressage riders.
She guided them through the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010 where the US finished fourth (thereby qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Games) and was awarded two individual bronze medals. In 2011 the American team won the team gold and all three individual medals at the PanAmerican Games in Mexico, and at the London Olympics, the US team finished sixth with all three members scoring over 70% in Grand prix for the first time.
Anne Gribbons is a licensed USEF Senior and Sports Horse Breeding judge, as well as an FEI Five* judge. She has officiated at prestigious shows in Europe , including the FEI World Cup Finals in Dusseldorf and Las Vegas , the Stuttgart CHIO, and numerous CDI?s, Olympic , World Game and PanAmerican Trials in North America.
