Anita Borg Institute Info Session
The Anita Borg Institute (ABI) launched a network of locally-organized communities last year to help women technologists
get connected, find new opportunities and meet their career goals. This is an online & off-line system for individuals,
academia, and industry leaders to provide resources, information, training, and professionals to our members at the local level. ABI's mission has always been to advance women in technology to close the gender gap. However, our new website
and events are also open to men and membership is free! To learn more or join, visit local.anitaborg.org and select Chicago.
University of Chicago technology undergrads, grads, faculty, staff, and alumni are welcome to attend. This invitation is
extended to the following communities:
- Computer Science
- Digital Media/Design
- Information Technology
Lunch will be served.
The presenter, La'Shon Anthony, is the leader of the Chicago chapter. She has operated a small business consulting practice,
visuals4u, for over 10 years and is a web developer, mentor & speaker around the Chicagoland area.
