Calling Charlotte's developers. If you've been wanting to find out about the buzz surrounding Single Page Apps, come to the AngularJS Bootcamp hosted by Charlotte Startup Weekend and sponsored by Google.

Learn about the basics for building a Single Page Application using Google's Angular Javascript framework. We will cover how to get up and running quickly as well as dive deeper into some more advanced topics, like directives, animation, and look at packaging apps for mobile and desktop. There will also be opportunities to do some coding so bring a laptop for full effect.

Luke Dary from the Research Triangle Google Developer's Group will be leading the day's activities so come out to Packard Place on January 18th and attend this awesome day-long workshop.

We know that during a Startup Weekend event there isn't a lot of time to learn new things. You come in with the tools you have in your belt, and you do the best you can with those. But sometimes those tools aren't enough, which is why we're running this pre-Startup Weekend technical bootcamp:

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Intro to AngularJS

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM - Lunch

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Advanced Topics

3:00 PM - 5:00 PM - Hacking & Refreshments

Startup Weekend

Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures. It is the largest community of passionate entrepreneurs with over a thousand past events in 110+ countries around the world.

The non-profit organization is located in Seattle, Washington but Startup Weekend organizers and facilitators can be found in cities around the world. From Mongolia to South Africa to London to Brazil, people around the globe are coming together for weekend long workshops to pitch ideas, form teams, and start companies.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.
